Project Flight 19 - war ein weltweit initiiertes Projekt, das die angeblich ungeklärten Geheimnisse des Bermudadreiecks untersuchen sollte.

Das Team bestand aus drei Gruppen von Menschen: Die erste Gruppe war die der Verschwörungstheoretiker. Sie vermuteten in der Region des Bermudadreiecks das Wirken geheimer Bünde, der US-Regierung oder sogar Außerirdischer. Die zweite Gruppe bestand aus Wissenschaftlern. Sie wollten versuchen, im Bermudadreieck das vermehrte Auftreten seltener Phänomene nachzuweisen. Ausbrüche von Methan-Blasen, Monsterwellen, erhöhter Magnetismus zum Beispiel. Die dritte Gruppe, zu der auch wir gehören, war der festen Überzeugung, dass es mit der Region des Bermudadreieckes überhaupt nichts Besonderes auf sich hatte und dass dort genau so viele oder wenige Flugzeugabstürze und Schiffskatastrophen passierten, wie an jedem anderen Ort im Meer. Und wir sollten damit Recht behalten.

Was uns allerdings viel mehr interessierte - und deshalb waren wir überhaupt nur ein Teil des Projektes geworden - war die eher psychologische Frage, wie um eine an sich so normale Region derartige Legenden hatten entstehen können.

there's nothing left but the urban legend that you've made of their deadly tragedy
no supernatural phenomenon just a normal tragic catastrophe
a simple accident caused by the weather and by lack of experience
and all that's left now is just something like an FOAF tale, a gothic story
